Hi, I’m Dr. S.

I’m an applied mathematician and Professor of Applied Mathematics. I realized after teaching for nearly two decades that I have a different approach to teaching mathematics… some students love it, so I’m branching out. I am starting this blog as a means of reaching out to the larger audience attempting to grasp the concepts in their mathematics courses. Maybe I can provide a new way of thinking about these things that you will also benefit from. I hope so. I’m a strong believer that not everyone will like my explanations, and that’s okay. If I can help, great! If not, I hope you find someone else who does.
